Introduction to Myself
Hello!
Welcome to my blog.
I guess this first one will be an introduction of sorts. Currently, I am a 19 year old male living in Fort Worth, TX and working full time. I play a lot of video games. If I were to talk about all the games I have ever played, this first blog would be the length of a newspaper, and that's assuming I can remember them all. But, I am more than willing to share a few of my personal favorites and why I love them. The reason why I share this is because it will develop a good player profile for the blogs to come:
Metroid:
I began playing this game when I was a very small lad on the Super Nintendo. However, this game slowly died for a little while in place of other games. However, when I was ten or twelve (not sure which) I received a Gameboy. Then I received Metroid Zero Mission (fun fact: this game had a small cameo in House). This sparked a forever-long love for the series (despite Nintendo being the stupidest people when it comes to the series, we'll get to that later). The games really define what an adventure would feel like. Along with some of the best and unique gameplay in its genre, the games are by far, in my opinion, one of the best series in terms of designs (for the most part),
Halo:
Oh. My. God. I have been a Halo fan for as long as I have been a fan of Metroid, if not longer. These games are most of what I played growing up. I have a lot of things to say about this series that could be an individual blog by itself. For me, these games set the bar for a first-person shooter experience (at least the old ones did). Halo: Reach was the game that I played the most in my middle school years. And I wasn't the toxic 12 year old kid screaming at the game while his mom was telling him to do the dishes in the background. Instead, I was the quiet kid who only wanted to get better at Halo..... while his mom screamed at him to do the dishes in the background. This easily sparked my love for competitive play, and made my love for video games increase substantially.
Two Great Strategy Games: Starcraft 2 and Dawn of War.
The reason I put these two together is merely because of their similar amounts of quality. God bless these games. While Starcraft 2 is understandable for many reasons, I have a confession. I am awful at it. I am great when it comes to the campaigns, but I am awful at the multiplayer. Same thing goes for Dawn of War. So, if I have any bias with these two, that is the reason. However, both have had their growth in terms of campaign. I have easily replayed the campaigns multiple times and I love them to death. The sheer amount of replayability in these games is remarkable, and quite noteworthy.
DOOM:
Before I begin talking about my current occupant for my time, I have to mention how much I loved this game's campaign. If you want a perfect model of how to do a first person campaign. Also, it's soundtrack is badass.
Two Games in Particular: League of Legends and Overwatch.
Just.... Yikes. I love Overwatch for sure, but League of Legends definitely has a love-hate relationship. I will definitely make a seperate post for these games alone.
Along with many others, these games, are at the core of my gaming experience. I will probably make a post on each one in the future as to why they are great. However, this blog will be detailing my adventure and experience with many future projects I have in store. Currently, I am working with RQN (RageQuitNetwork). Along with that, I have an eventual plan to create a proper YouTube channel (I made one when I was seventeen and don't look it up. Just to spare you from cringing). Also, as of right now, I do not plan on using monetization for the channel at all. Ever. YouTube's copyright system is a joke (and I mean that quite literally, it is actually a meme). I will also eventually start a Twitch stream, and that is only if YouTube is successful.
Thank you very much for the read, and I hope to see you around ☺
